For more details please reach me at prem@softcomsystems.com  , 609-333-9000 Ext: 19 / 408-664-0057      Cloud Architect – SME Manhattan, NY (Remote) Long Term Contract Profile Functional Knowledge and Skills Essential: Public IaaS: Understanding service catalogue of AWS and Azure, specifically IaaS services; inter alia: zones/regions network services (route 53, Traffic manager, CDN, load balancing, VPC, S2S VPN, Express route, WAF, Application gateway) machine types (EC2, VMs) Storage types (blobs, table, S3, EBS, SMB etc) DB services / RDS, Backup/ Glacier Monitoring and analytics Azure AD, IAM Insights/ cloud watch ARM deployments and ARM templates AD/DNS services Knowledge of designing, implementing and maintenance of different IaaS and PaaS services. Provide identity management solutions for SaaS applications Understanding of Ws-fed, Oauth , SAML federation concepts and their implementation in Azure Ad. Scripting and automation using either Python, Perl, shell scripts or PowerShell, azure CLI Strong knowledge in M365 suit (O365, EMS, Windows 10) MDM and MAM solution – technical and implementation knowledge for large scale environments Using REST/SOAP API based service interfaces for command-line based cloud management. Understanding of networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP etc Strong background in Linux and/or Windows system administration Understanding of multi-tier web-applications; cloud deployment of such applications (and associated optimizations such as CDN, caching, load balancing etc – using public IaaS tools) Knowledge of technical security practices: statefull layer 3/4 network firewalls, Layer 7 WAF, server hardening, encryption, SSL etc.   Soft-skills: Excellent Communication and presentation skills. Ability to promote positive relationships between ICC, the client, and its customers. Strong negotiating skills and interpersonal skills. Responsible, takes initiative and demonstrates a flexible approach to managing shifting priorities and workload. Ability to promote a customer-centric approach to services or solutions. Ability to train end users (IT and non-IT) on using cloud environments where and when necessary. Up-to-date with latest technology changes in cloud platforms. Desirable: understanding of scheduling and orchestration with tool-set such as OpenStack Experience in automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Saltstack, Bosh, Terraform or an equivalent Experience with Opbots Experience with source code management tools such as Git, Bitbucket or equivalent Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBs such as MS SQL, MySQL, Amazon DynamoDB or equivalent Good understanding of docker runtime, containers, orchestration with Kubernetes and preferably OpenShift orchestration platform. familiarity with the disciplines of enterprise software development such as configuration & release management, source code & version controls, and operational considerations such as monitoring and instrumentation     Education Essential: A first level university degree and a relevant combination of academic qualifications, certifications and experience. Additional certifications in information systems as part of continuous learning to support the essential knowledge and skills requirements. Desirable: Amazon AWS or MS Azure vendor certifications; for example Amazon Certified Solutions Architect (associate or professional) Experience   Essential: Five years or more of progressing experience in IaaS cloud technologies with at least last 3 years in skills described above (functional knowledge and skills row). Recent and proven experience in public cloud infrastructure architecture matching the functional and knowledge skills. Working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones. Experience of consulting or service provider roles (internal, or external) Desirable: Application / software development Languages Expert knowledge of English is required.
