Title: Cloud Solutions Architect Location: Reston, VA Duration: Long Term Client: Apex/ Equifax   Job Description :     Required Skills : .NET, Azure, Java, API architecture, REST API Basic Qualifications : 4+ years’ experience as a Solutions architect with an emphasis on cloud hosted solutions, 10+ years in cloud space Additional Skills : Have been part of an enterprise level cloud migration during the initial preparation phase Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices. (need to be able to design vertical slice milestones)   My client is looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to immediately join their team in Reston, VA. Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain architecture of portfolio of projects, and will remain involved in design and build phases to provide technology oversight, and remove any technology roadblocks by maintaining an Architecture backlog and addressing work items in form of Proof of concepts, reference implementation and by coordinating work with other technology teams. Establish the high-level Solution Intent for given project or problem statement in form of architecture diagrams, models, constraints and principles Establish responsibilities of major logical components of the solution in collaboration with other team members Develop and maintain architecture deliverable necessary to illustrate system behavior, including usage models, and cost of ownership models and failure analysis model Ensure that the solution is aligned with the technology strategy, uses standard solution building blocks and can be built and operated in an efficient manner aligned with economic value of the project Develop, analyze, split, and prioritize work required to implement the system’s non-functional requirements Provide technical oversight of implementation and keep it aligned with the solution intent Ensure that the final build of the solution is in line with the solution intent Required Skills: BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent job experience required Minimum of 10 years’ experience building solutions and application across multiple technology areas and application stacks 4+ years’ experience as a Solutions architect with an emphasis on cloud hosted solutions Experience with one or more public cloud technologies (Azure and GCP) Experience with Java and are familiar with Microsoft .Net stack (Or the other way) 3+ years of experience in API architecture, API management and REST API design Knowledge of cloud native architecture Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and/or Infrastructure (IaaS) and system design around these concepts Experience in securing, performance tuning and hardening complex cloud based web service architecture Strong communication skills Experience in building distributed systems and algorithms Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices Ability to design vertical slice milestones Preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of web services design and development Experience in Azure cloud offerings such as AKS, VMs, SQL, CosmosDB, Functions etc. Experience with GCP offerings such Kubernetes, App Engine, DataFlow and other services.
