Role: Teradata Technical Lead
Work location: Burbank, CA
 
Experience: 7-8 years of relevant experience
Skills required: Teradata, SQL, AWS
Travel: No travel is required, must be onsite to work closely with client
Education: 4-year degree in science, engineering or equivalent preferred

• Informatics Power Center

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate and provide inputs for release planning.
• Act as the Cognizant Delivery team point of contact for the portfolio.
• Support Service Management / process related activities performed by the SMO with relevant delivery data.
• Worked in onsite and offshore model to co-ordinate work with team in India and be flexible to calls.
• Coach the delivery team.
• Continually assess skill level and provide intervention assistance.
• Provide inputs for learning plans.
• Technically strong to resolve issues independently during the business hrs. This is very important as all IT users are technical and should be able to resolve any issue or answer their questions.
• Should be able to manage minor enhancements/projects as part of support
• Should be able to manage 10 member offshore team and get work done from them
• Report performance dashboards on a periodic basis to the customer stakeholders.
• Engages with Customer and drive status report meetings.
• Should have worked in Teradata and BTEQ scripting knowledge.
• Should be strong in SQL
• Preferably have work experience in AWS and migration projects
• Should be strong in Data warehouse concepts
• Should be able to do basic data modeling
• Exposure to Fast load, Multi-load
• Should have basic Unix knowledge
• Informatica knowledge is optional
• Capable of managing 5 to 7 offshore team members
• Should have good knowledge in writing, troubleshooting SQL scripts
