Power BI Developer @ Austin, TX

Good Morning All,

I have an excellent opportunity with one of our client in Austin, TX looking for Power BI Developer.

 

Position: Power BI Developer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6 Months+

 

Required Skills:

PowerBI, SQL, Requirements gathering, strong communication skills

Day to Day:
• Act as the developer providing support and maintenance for the Power BI and Spotfire platforms.
• Daily and heavy interfacing with users to gather requirements for developing the needed reports.
• Write complex SQL queries to pull data, verify data, and build data sets to meet user requirements.
• Create Power BI dashboards and reports. Note: Tabular data modeling and DAX queries are a plus.
• Build the data visualizations in Power BI and Spotfire to allow for self-service BI reporting for users.

Tech Stack:
• PowerBI and Spotfire
• Informatica, SSIS, SSRS
• OLTP, OLAP, DW on prem
• Azure for Disaster Recovery

Notes:
• Current resource has another project on the team, so they have this gap now for PowerBI dev.
• Willing to train on Spotfire. Learning curve is light and easy if candidate also has Tableau, etc.

Must Have:
• Power BI dashboards and reports
• Advanced SQL for complex queries
• Requirements gathering w/ users
• Excellent interpersonal skills and
Strong Plus:
• Spotfire or Tableau
• DAX query language
• Tabular data models
