Network Voice Engineer || Sunnyvale, CA || 12 Months

 

 

 

Primary Function of Position:

This position has responsibility for the deployment, support and upgrade of production Cisco voice, Cisco Call Center, local and wide area infrastructure in Sunnyvale locations and other worldwide locations. This position will review, plan, and evaluate voice and network systems, troubleshoot voice and network systems and recommend improvements to the network. Cisco and Zoom voice and call center (UCCE) focus is a must.

 

The candidate will also be required to provide mentoring, training, and support for the rest of the networking team members.



Roles and Responsibilities
This position has responsibility and authority for:

  • Design configure and script Cisco UCCE software (ICM, CVP, IP-IVR), and third party software and integrated peripherals systems
  • Call routing, configuration, ICM / IPCC scripting
  • Deploying voice services, data and video services, and messaging services such as voice mail, Unified Messaging, email and Instant Messaging
  • Designing and implementing enterprise class data and voice networks to support the Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco Unity Connection product suites, Cisco UCCE, and Zoom Phone
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in the design, implementation and operation of Cisco voice and Zoom Phone infrastructure
  • Monitor performance and provide capacity analysis/planning and be able to be part of a 24x7x365 on call rotation.
  • Provide project and vendor management as needed.


Competency Requirements
Competency is based on: education, training, skills and experience.  In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:

  • Hands on experience with Cisco Voice Call Manager 11.x, Cisco Unity Connection 11.x, Zoom Phone and Cisco UCCE 11.x.
  • Cisco ICM Enterprise development and deployment experience, including scripting, configuration and call routing
  • IP-IVR, CVP integration design and deployment
  • Experience with integrating Call Manager cluster and trunk to WebEx and Zoom is a plus
  • Experience with Cisco / Poly / Zoom Room video conference and integration to WebEx, Jabber, and Zoom
  • Hands on experience with Cisco Cube and Voice Gateways and Zoom Phone
  • Experience and understanding of the following security technologies is a must: vulnerability scanners, network based firewall, network based intrusion detection and prevention technologies, etc.
  • Minimum of 7 year hands on experience in Cisco voice and basic network engineering is required.
  • Strong ability to identify, determine and document customer requirements
  • Solid written and verbal communication proficiencies, quick learning abilities and self-motivated team player.

Desired Skills:

  • Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connection, UCCE (ICM, CVP, IP-IVR)
  • Video conferencing with multi-vendor platform
  • Collaboration with Cisco Webex and Jabber, and Zoom
  • TCP/IP,STP, VTP, VSS, 802.1q trunking
  • LAN Switching and WLAN (Cisco)
  • OSFP, BGP, EIGRP, QoS
  • Good communication and documentation skills

Educational background:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent. Cisco CCVP, CCIE Voice or UCCEI /UCCED certification is a big plus.
