Cloud / Virtualization Engineer
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 6+ Month
Term: Contract

Interview: Video interview

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge or skills in converged or hyper-converged environment.
Knowledge or skills in IT DevOps CI/CD pipeline
Knowledge or skills in Agile Software Development
Knowledge or skills in Software Defined Networking (SDN) VMware NSX
Certifications/Licenses: VMware Certified Professional (VCP5 or VCP6) is preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain hybrid virtualization environments for innovation, development, test and production uses.
Ability to communicate effectively, formally and informally, orally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to prepare and maintain operational documentation and standards.
Demonstrated expertise with VMWare hypervisor and associated management platforms (VRealize Automation, Orchestrator, Operations, Business, Cloud)
Proven ability to script with PowerShell and JavaScript for task automation is a must.
Experience with alternate Hypervisor platforms (Hyper-V, KVM, RHEV)
Knowledge of multiple Operating Systems (Linux - RHEL 6/7, Windows 2008, 2012, 2016).
Knowledge of multiple database systems software (Oracle, SQL)
Knowledge of enterprise storage solutions (EMC, NetApp)
Knowledge of the wide range of enterprise networking solutions using Cisco infrastructure.
Understanding of software provisioning and configuration tools Ansible, Puppet, Chef
Understanding of integrating Linux Containers (e.g. Docker) with virtualization technologies
Fluent in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN), troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of resource and system optimization Linux server and Microsoft Windows
Knowledge of storage systems (SAN/NAS/iSCSI) to include EMC, NetApp and fibre networks
Knowledge of basic cloud infrastructure integration (AWS, Azure, etc.)

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (HARD/SOFT) -
Required Skills:
vSphere Administration including vCenter, ESXi, VRealize Operations, Site Recovery Manager, Log Insight
VRealize Automation (vRA 7) implementation with VRealize Orchestrator Extensibility Workflows 3. PowerShell / PowerCLI automation for vSphere Administration and Management
VMware NSX Implementation and Administration
