Position: System/User Support Engineer
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 1+ year

Job Description:
· Work as part of shared services team of agile release train focused on OneFiber
· Part of the support and operations team of OneFiber resolving day to day user issues and system issues
· Responsible for systems engineering activities like infrastructure design and deployment.
· Identify, diagnose, and resolve software issues reported by customers
· Install and maintain software and provide assistance with configuring system software
· Provide one on one assistance to the end user regarding the technical flaw, either by trouble ticket, phone, email, or in person
· Coordinate with the third party vendor for timely repair of the system under the maintenance agreement warranty
· Manage user access requests and ensure Verizon audit policies are performed regularly
· Assist with system design and software testing to prevent technical breakdowns in future
· Document Bugs and Application Issues
Must Have Skills:
· Must have excellent interpersonal and technical skills to troubleshoot problems accurately
· Must have grace under pressure and possess a patient attitude to deal with a variety of situations and personalities.
· Must be able to listen attentively, speak calmly and document user problems comprehensively
· Must have good judgement, clear communication skills and the ability to help others.
· Must have the ability to learn new software and apply deductive reasoning to analyze technical issues
· Web technologies – IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic
· Database technologies - Oracle
· Powershell, Python, MS Batch
· DevOps and CI/CD process implementation using tools like JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible
· Extensive experience in deploying docker images and its management.
Expertize in one of the following areas:
a. Security Management
b. Virtualization / Scaling / AWS
c. Performance Management
Desired Skills:
· Kubernetes for Docker orchestration
· SAFs agile
· Support Process expertise
