Job Title:  Mainframe Developer
Job Location: Chicago, IL
Duration:  6+ Month Contract
Job Description:

• In depth knowledge in DB2 tables (Existing Query Optimization, Alter table, Create indices as per requirement)
• Perform Impact analysis for table structure changes (in Programs, Stored Procedures, Copy books and other components)
• Alter table structures, Update relevant program, Test and deploy the changes into production
• Work with Biz customers, understand and record the Mainframe requirements
• Perform Impact analysis for the requested biz enhancements
• Design, Develop, Test and deploy the Mainframe changes involving Mainframe COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, IMS & MQ
• Coordinate with Offshore IT team for walk through on requirements
• Estimate the effort required for biz enhancement requests
• Independently handle Pre-Cab and CAB approval meetings for the change requests
• Participate in deployment window for Mainframe changes
• Mentor and groom the junior members of the team
