Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements and create functional specifications for the embedded software design and development of Automotive Instrument Clusters and heads-up display (HUDs).
- Lead team to create and review detailed software architecture and design documents. Create traceability between design document, requirements and software using tools such as IBM DOORS.
- Create the unit test cases and functional test specifications for testing to be performed on customer software. Coordinate with System Engineering group to review and validate completeness of test plan.
- Configure the Instrument Cluster software components using AUTOSAR authoring tools such as Vector DaVinci and generate code. Coordinate with stack providers such as Vector, EB Tresos to resolve any configuration issues.
- Performs unit testing and integration testing in virtual environment and actual hardware. Perform testing to confirm software defects have been corrected and update the issue tracker system.
- Plan, create and maintain all software development schedules to meet customer and manufacturing milestones. Maintain software open issue lists, and participates in meetings with the customers to support issue resolution. Assist in providing guidance to other engineers
