Hi NA NA   Role: Synon Developer Location: New York City, NY Duration: 12+ Months Qualifications: Candidate MUST know commitment control in Synon. 5+ years of experience using CA:2E (AllFusion/2E, Synon/2E, Advantage/2E) toolset 5+ years of development experience in application development with IBM-i (System i, iSeries, AS/400) using RPG, COBOL, Query, QL and CL tools Experience working with and supporting multiple concurrent projects/programs Code with a minimal amount of guidance and meet project deadlines Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions Ability to create end user documentation and to provide demos and training on the developed application Ability to perform functional testing, Integration testing and Systems testing of Synan applications and other IBM-i applications as part of Quality Assurance team (QA team) using generally accepted testing principles Ability to learn ETL and Reporting tools and use them as part of projects for implementing software solution Proven knowledge in all stages of the software development life cycle History of working independently with little direction Responsibilities: Maintenance of existing computer system, development of new systems and solutions, and major enhancements to existing systems using CA:2E toolset and other relevant technologies Analyze and document system requirements Document detail design to program specification level, based on system requirements Research assignments, document all changes/enhancements and comply with the programming standards and other policies and procedures outlined by the agency Organize and participate in meetings with user groups and other IT areas in order to design efficient and effective systems Attend and participate in weekly team meetings with PMO Notify Managers immediately of any problems or questions that may prevent or delay work and inform them of changes to estimated completion dates for assigned tasks Learn relevant tools and technologies being used in-house and use them as part of solutions development and SDLC process Perform sufficient unit level testing to identify and resolve problems before the modification or enhancement is promoted to the Quality Assurance group for integration level testing Review test scripts and notify the QA group of any test scenarios that should be added or modified to the test scripts Work as part of QA team as required and perform Systems testing of Synon and other related applications Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment Kamran Ahmed Technical Recruiter   118 Carolynn Lane, Murphy Texas 75094 USA Landline: 469-409-2560 Cell no:469-731-7106 Email     kahmed@exarcainc.com || www.exarcainc.com Linkedin     https://www.linkedin.com/in/kamran-ahmad-824642180/
