Position: UI Developer

Location: Austin TX

Role: Contract

Interview: Skype

Job Description:

Play an active role in requirements and design discussions with Product Owners, UX Designers and UI Architects
Work closely with the team to estimate, design, and develop in iterative agile cadence.
Deliver high-quality, unit-tested code.
Perform daily code reviews of the team members code
Own the delivery of items aligned to their teams
Mentor and assist junior members of the team
Follow technical directions from Architects and lead resolution of technical challenges for the team

Technical Skills and Experience

6+ years’ experience working with CSS, HTML, Javascript and TypeScript and implementing web UI using those technologies
Experienced Angular 2 or above (we use Angular 6/7) – 3+ years experienced
Sound technical knowledge for building UI designs across a multitude of devices using Responsive techniques
Experience with unit test frameworks (we use Mocha) for UI.
Experience with Nginx
Have a calling for building modular front-end code leveraging REST-based services
Experience maintaining a component-based design system using a library like Storybook.js
Experienced in version control using Git (branches, submodules, rebasing)
Experience with modern frontend development tools including CSS preprocessors, task automation, etc (we use Sass and Webpack)
Knowledge in developing and deploying containerized application (Docker) is an advantage.
Knowledge in Scripting Languages (PowerShell, Bash)
Knowledge in Agile SDLC
Experience in source control like Azure DevOps, GitHub
Knowledge in Azure Cloud technologies. AWS or Google Cloud technologies will be an added advantage
