Hiring Sr. Software Test Engineer in Austin, TX

Job Title: Sr. Software Test Engineer (Min. 10 years experience)

Location:  Austin, TX (FACE to FACE required)

Duration: Long Term

 

Top 5 Technical Must Haves

• Test automation using Selenium with Java.
• Testing of API's using Postman and other tools, Writing BDD scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin etc.
• Experience with AWS, C# & Github
• Implementing various levels of test automation in Continuous Integration process
• Creating QA strategy and plan for agile development

 

Required Skills:

• In depth understanding of API and Web UI interfaces
• 10+ years of End-to-End Automated testing experience with test automation tools (Selenium Webdriver, TestNG and Rest-Assured preferred)
• 8+ years engineering experience with various programming languages including Java
• Lead level experience in QA planning, reporting and setting up QA best practices
• Must have successfully led a team of Software Test Engineers in current or previous jobs
• Experience with various levels of testing including functional/integration, regression, performance, smoke testing etc.
• Design and develop QA automation test cases using Selenium with Java and execute
• Experience with BDD and tools like Cucumber/Gherkin or similar
• Webservices experience with SOAP/JSON/RESTful API 
• Understanding of Cloud domain applications and platform- AWS preferred
• Strong knowledge and experience in building CI/CD pipeline from a test perspective and integrating automation scripts with the pipeline
• Experience with source control (Git, GitHub)
• Experience with Cross browser testing and parallelization of automated tests
• Develops new and maintains existing test automation suites, using the agreed upon test automation framework for all applications that automation currently supports
• Coordinates regression test automation activities across supported applications
• Establishes processes to continually review and select manual test cases for automation test suites.
• Partners with feature developers and other automation engineers to build the tools and infrastructure to ensure production code is thoroughly tested to the higher standards
• Ability to write manual test cases and execute as needed
• Good understanding of Agile frameworks and tools like Rally, JIRA etc.
• Excellent communication skills and a good team player
