Must have skills:

install configuration experience - apache/cassandra

Messaging - Kafka

Kafka

Responsibilities:

Help configure & maintain Apache Cassandra cluster, including Datastax Enterprise Graph.

Analyze data access patterns & identify hotspots & bottlenecks, Review data models

Cassandra configuration, monitor health, backups, cluster storage & help plan for growth

Flexible to learn and adopt new technologies and assume other responsibilities as needed.

Skills:

Apache Cassandra - installation, config & monitoring a cluster.

Cassandra data modeling & CQL scripting.

DataStax Enterprise Graph, including the Gremlin query lang.

Windows & Linux OS. Knowledge of Microsoft .NET (C#, F#, .NET Core).

Experience in Agile or iterative approach to delivery.

Cloudera Big data exp is a plus .

Cassandra APIs, tools to import from CSV, Excel, JSON, XML

Understanding of Java, CQL, SQL, RDBMS

Experience building data pipelines for structured/unstruct, real time/batch, Sync/async using MQ/Kafka

Experience with distributed systems, clustering
