Required skills:
10+ years of Network / Systems Admin on WINDOWS platform, Amazon Web Services (ECC, SE, Glacier), IIS Admin, Active Directory
Required: 2+ industry-specific network/systems certifications
Required: Onsite support during client’s business hours
Desired: Outlook, SQL SERVER and/or SharePoint Administration
Desired: A.S. or B.S. in related field of study
Job Description:
The Network/Systems Administrator will administer and support the operations of the company network, WINDOWS servers, Office 365 platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS), PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, telecommunications and user provisioning functions including adding users to the network, specifying directory structures and system access, troubleshooting network usage and peripheral issues, resolving LAN connectivity issues and maintaining LAN and internet connections. Duties to also include:
* Setting up, configuring and supporting networks including PC's, laptops, and servers
* Developing, documenting and maintaining systems, apps, security and network configurations
* Troubleshooting network performance issues
* Recommending and implementing upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
* Providing technical support to end users
* Performing system backups and recovery
* Participating in implementing new data and/or voice systems
* Responsible for overall system availability and reliability for data and voice systems
* Experience with LAN environment, and Microsoft server application support & administration
* Extensive application support experience with Windows platforms as well as Terminal Services
* Working technical knowledge of current software protocols and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, sub netting, DNS, WINS, DHCP
* Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office
* Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware, and internal components. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a focus on rapport building, listening and questioning skills; analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
* Ability to present ideas/solutions in user-friendly language; ability to absorb and retain information quickly; ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required; ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
