Job Summary:
 
THE DAY TO DAY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide data extracts in TDE, CSV and Hyper formats in Tableau Servers from operational and enterprise databases
• Operationalize data flows for continuous data provisioning with up-to-date data, designing, developing and assisting in implementing interactive dashboards, analytic and reporting solutions.
• Mentor/provide knowledge transfers and create outreach programs to raise the level of skills in data preparation, reporting, visualization and analytics across user community.
• Main focus will be preparing and providing data to the visualization team using Tableau Prep Builder and managing data flows within Tableau Servers using Data Management Add-ons and Tableau Prep Conductor.
• Work visualization, dash boards and reporting initiatives using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Servers.

 
THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB:

• 5 years as a Tableau Developer and Analyst using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
• 3 years using ETL tools for providing data to data warehousing and BI tools
• Strong SQL skills to create complex joins in MS SQL Server Databases
• Certifications in Tableau and other leading ETL/BI software preferred
• Strong analytical and technical skills in working with data and visualizations
• Understanding of business domain data requirements, user task flows, and objectives to create design solutions for visual data delivery and analysis
• Strong technical skills to publish, schedule, and refresh (full, incremental) reports, flows, extracts and workbooks using Tableau Server
• In-depth experience with Visual Analytics with ability to create clear Tableau visualizations, charts, and graphs
• Knowledge of working with Tableau Prep Builder and Tableau Prep Conductor tools 
• Design and implementation of intuitive, feature-rich Tableau BI interfaces/ dashboards
• Solid experience designing/ implementing user-friendly and dynamic Tableau dashboards with features such as KPIs and drill functionality, and chart styles like Heat Maps and Scatterplots that best visualize the data
• Strong experience using Tableau functions - calculated fields, parameter controls, hierarchy, groups, sets, dashboard actions, filters, and annotations
• Experience managing the BI project life cycle, from requirements gathering to determining best-fit solutions, and designing and developing prototypes
• Ability to develop prototypes and wireframes from business requirements to bring simplicity and context to complex designs
• Ability to identify trends and patterns in data to provide actionable insights, and understand data visualization concepts
• Detail-oriented investigative and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with business users and technical team members
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
