Senior Backend Infrastructure Engineer Redwood City, CA 6 months C2H role USC / GC / GC EAD Description: Responsibilities -
- Design, implement, test and maintain backend components: application, data, infrastructure, analytics and deployment
- Design and build systems with automated instrumentation, alerting and monitoring
- Lives and breathes resiliency and uptime
- Consistently improve maintainability and stability of the codebase
- Own the end-to-end development life-cycle with a customer-centric approach
Qualifications -
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Software engineering and DevOps
- Strong programming and scripting fundamentals with high degree of fluency in any backend language, but preferably Python
- Experience with Modern web services architectures, cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure etc…) Passion for agile, test-driven development, continuous integration and automated testing
- Strong understanding of SQL and NOSQL databases
- Deep understanding of distributed systems
- Self starter with proven track record of execution in a fast paced development environment
- Has passion for writing readable and maintainable code and cannot not accept anything that isn’t maintainable
Nice to Have -
- Python data science and machine learning libraries, such as SciKitLearn, Theano, NumPy, SciPy, and Panda
- Django/Flask experience
- Working with reporting frameworks and visualization tools, such as Tableau and Gensim
