Java Application Developer
Chicago, IL
6+ Months Contract
Responsibilities
- Design and Architect highly complex systems using full stack of enterprise Java products
- Code for complex pieces of functionality with high coding & performance standards
- Build software solutions from requirements when we have them, or help architect solutions if we don't.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our platform design and tool chain
- Support our test team to build automated testing and delivery.
- Rapid learning and willingness to work with technologies and languages you are or are not familiar with
- Understanding of security policies and restrictions that apply to Tier One and creating solutions that comply with these rules
- Provide maintenance and enhancements to the existing code base when needed.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Java, Spring, Hibernate, Messaging, FIX
- Mandatory support experience & Deep working knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Very good in incident management, problem management, capacity management and supporting Java applications
- SQL including performance tuning, database design
- Knowledge of functional programming, testing and agile techniques
Nice to have qualifications
- FpML, Swift
- Familiarity with ETD Settlement and Clearing processes
- UI design (UX etc)
- AngularJS (1 and 2), HTML 5, CSS, Bootstrap, Sass/ Less, NodeJS, Typescript
- AWS, OpenStack experience.
