Job Title: DevOps Engineer III

Location: New York city, NY

Duration: 12 months

Job description

· Sr. DevOps Consultant with strong hands on experience in JIRA, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Docker,Ansible, Git, Bitbucket etc along with development hands on integration experience using java, python, shell scripting etc.

· The candidate will work with global teams spread across Bangalore, Noida, New York,UK & other countries as and when required.

· Take a very hands-on approach to implement DevOps strategy right from requirements analysis, test design, estimates, test execution, reporting, escalation, stakeholder communication.

· Strong experience in managing source code using GitHub, Bitbucket. Migration experience from SVN,CVS to GitHub, Bitbucket.

· Own the quality and timeliness of delivery across various aspects of the project

· Experience with seamless/automation build scripts used for release management across all environments

· Hands-on experience in deployment automation using Shell/Python Scripting with concentration on DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Team City integrating with build tools like Maven, Ant and Gradle.

· Proficient in Shell Scripting and Performance Tuning of UNIX systems.

· Vast experience in installing and configuring JbossEAP 4.x/5.x/6.x in various environments.

· Experienced in deploying the applications (WAR, JAR, EAR and J2EE) on multiple Weblogic& Jboss using Console/auto deploying scripts and maintaining High availability,Load balancing, and Failover.

· Strong R&D skills

· UI test automation integration experience with QTP, TestComplete or Selenium like tools and integration experience with CI\CD toolstack

· Hands on experience with tools like Cloudify

· Experience with Chef, Puppet or other automation framework in production environments with many nodes

· Strong scripting skills in one or more scripting languages (Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc- )

· Mentor and assist other team members in automation standards

· DevOps development for Integrated Software Platform involving build process automation, Deployments and automation and integration

· Live Updates using (Blue-Green) method.

· Good communication skills, and be able to explain complex IT problems in simple business-like terminology for ease of user's understanding

Desired Skills

· Should be able to work as an individual contributor role as and when required

· An innovative mindset with strong R&D skills

· Ability to create POC on emerging technologies to define solution and roadmaps

· Good design skills and knowledge of domain driven design and test driven development

· Exposure to monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Sumologice, Nagios etc

· Exposure to tools like Jira

· Exposure ARD is an added advantage
