Position : Business Analyst with Finance Domain.

Description:
The Corporate Banking and transverse systems group is looking for a Business Analyst with past experience in Finance, Risk and Payments systems. A balance of technical knowledge and business acumen required to partner with business groups and guide development teams to conceptualize, design and deliver enhancements to functional processes. The Business Analyst will apply creativity, business understanding, analytical processes, critical thinking, experience and project management skills to support BAU operations and create, document and guide the implementation of application solutions for internal initiatives.
Exposure and understanding of Accounting, Credit Risk, Financial reporting, Regulatory reporting, deposit accounts management.
Liaise with business users to document business requirements and troubleshoot functional issues found during UAT. Participate in project effort estimation, planning and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
· Liaise with Business users (part of following departments Finance, Risk, Operations , commercial front office ) to understand requirements and interpret underlying business needs
· Propose logical solutions and transform them into clear business and technical requirements
· Review users requests and requirements, define feasibility and qualification
· Write functional specifications based on users requirements and applications design
· Assist development team in their understanding of production issues and users requirements for proper remediation and implementation
· Define testing strategy, tests plan and execute functional tests
· Act as Project Manager where necessary to achieve successful implementations
· Utilize data query tools like SQL and advanced excel features to perform data analysis, confirm data quality and investigate user queries
· Track, resolve and escalate issues for own projects while keeping relevant stakeholders informed
· Prepare and maintain project deliverables, including reporting and tracking statuses
Required Skills – Must Have:
· Corporate and investment banking experience
· Proficient in at least 2 of the following domains: Accounting of banking products , Financial Reporting (Global GL reporting, Consolidation, US regulatory reporting ), Credit Risk, Commercial baking
· Good exposure to Testing methodology
· Good technical background to be able to interact with developers, verify their deliverables, provide requirements clarifications
· Good knowledge and understanding of information system functional architecture
· Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including coordinating with geographically dispersed teams to achieve deliverables
· Good organizational skills with attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Working knowledge of SQL queries to verify data quality,
· Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Visio, Power Point, Word and JIRA
Required Skills – Nice to have:
· Working knowledge of Business Objects, ETL tools
· Project Management processes
· Data warehousing concepts
Qualifications:
· Masters with 6 or more years of experience or Bachelor's with 8 or more years of experience
· Advanced functional knowledge a must in following domains: Accounting in Banking domain, Financial Reporting (Consolidation, regulatory and management reporting). Credit Risk, Commercial Back office, Demand Deposit Accounts Management.
· Knowledge related to payments and SWIFT messages will be a plus
· 7+ years of experience as a technical business analyst
