Responsibilities
· Automate suite of manual reports currently produced in SAS and Excel by leveraging Tableau and Tableau Server. Requires reading, interpreting, and converting SAS Proc SQL and Data Step multi-stage processing into direct query of databases (Redshift, Neteeza) using single-pass SQL to generate dynamic reporting and redesigning data visualizations as Tableau workbooks and dashboards.
· Manage the current reporting suite using SAS Enterprise Guide for data extraction and Microsoft Excel for data visualization. In some cases BI Microstrategy-10 will be used as well. This will also require managing weekly processes for updating internal metadata coding tables for report referencing. Advise on improving data visualizations, while soliciting feedback from clients on usability and interpretation of reporting.
· Create new fundraising reports for management team, and conduct ad-hoc analysis for Fundraising Direct Response Management.
Requirements:
· 5+ years' development experience with reporting, statistical and database packages.
· 2+ years' experience in building and managing reporting and dashboards in Tableau through direct SQL Query.
· Multi-Channel direct response marketing or fundraising experience a plus.  Consultant will be expected to work independently with clients and manage priorities accordingly.

Technical Skills
· Expertise in SAS Enterprise Guide, Base SAS, Proc SQL and Data Step techniques. Must be skilled in the use of SQL windowed analytical functions (Including partitioned aggregates: lag(), lead(), list_agg(), rank(), etc.)
· 2+ years' experience creating effective visualizations, dashboards and reports in Tableau from multiple data sources, and experience publishing reports on Tableau Server.
· Must be able to code SQL efficiently for high volume 100M+ row structured database tables.
· 2+ years' experience in building data extracts through direct SQL query using complex analytical functions, nested queries, 'with' clause (sub-query refactoring), and correlated sub-queries. Redshift or Netezza Database experience preferred, but any full-featured DBMS acceptable.
· Experience with and knowledge of data warehouse and OLAP principles?
