Position: .Net Developer

Location: Chicago, IL

Description:

•             Provide architectural and big-picture oversight for development of new or enhanced software products

•             Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance to the development teams

•             Define the system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development and recommend course of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness

•             Stay up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues

•             Research and implement best practices frameworks/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and/or increase predictability of service delivery

•             Research new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology

 

Responsibilities/Project Specifics:

•             Responsible for one primary project will have multiple smaller ad hoc projects assigned

•             The primary project will be for the Currency Bank

•             Project focus will be on migration the system from its current platform to a vendor system

•             The vendor will be assisting and running point on the implementation/integration of the project, but this individual will be responsible for ensuring the existing system's requirements and designs are in place for a smooth transition

•             Individual will be report to a Principal Architect and will be their right-hand person. They will receive day to day direction from the Principal Architect

•             Responsible for attending meetings, creating architecture and SQL diagrams, and creating/updating technical documents

•             Responsible for communicating with roughly 4 different division to gather information and requirements needed

 

Required Skills:

•             10+ years' experience in a Senior NET  role

•             Bachelor's degree required

•             Must have experience with .NET core and possess a development background

•             Experience with Microservices/Webservices

•             Experience with Visio

•             Experience with architecture work

•             Strong communication and representation skills (not a heads down role)

 

Preferred Skills:

•             TFS and Agile experience preferred

•             Airline and loyalty industry experience preferred
