Position	:	Data Engineer
Location	:	Irving-TX
Interview	:	Phone then Skype
Duration	:	12+ Months Contract
Max Rate	:	$50/Hour on C2C

Job Description:-

 

• Bachelor’s degree with eight or more years of work experience.

• Five or more years of relevant work experience.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites Products (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

• Sound understanding of IT architecture, IT processes, and SDLC life cycle.

• Experience with Oracle/Hyperion BI suite.

• Previous experience with implementing Data Quality, Issues Management and Data Validation frameworks.

• Previous experience with relevant tools such as Informatica IDQ, Informatica Axon, Information Steward & Collibra.

• Understanding of Multi-dimensional/OLAP concepts and exposure to tools like Essbase, SmartView, Planning & DRM.

• Excellent organizational as well as communication (written and verbal) skills.

• Knowledge of logical data modeling concepts (RDBMS Architecture) and querying tools such as SQL Navigator / Developer or TOAD.

• Strong knowledge of SQL for both transaction and analytical use cases.

• Database development experience with Relational or MPP/distributed systems such as Oracle/PostgreSQL/Teradata/Hadoop.

• Experience in building/implementing best practices for data ingestion and ETL pipelines.

• Extensive experience with MDM Methodologies and Data Cleansing and Transitioning Activities.

• Experience with AWS environment

• Experience with one or more programming languages preferably Python or Scala.

• Background performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.

• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected data-sets.

• Self-Driven, Highly motivated, strives for continued learning opportunities to build upon craft

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
