iSeries /  Cyber security  Resource Las Vegas NV

 

The person would need to have 10+ years’ experience on the IBMi (aka AS/400, iSeries) within an engineering and or high level security role.

Operational Planning & Management

·        Provide technical solutions to complex hardware/software security problems

·        Minimize user productivity loss caused by security changes

·        Provide the necessary support for internal clients to meet their business needs

·        Evaluate existing workflow and recommend alternatives

·        Provide detailed and effective communication to internal team as well as other IT teams

·        Support security on System Service Tools  and Dedicated Service Tools (SST / DST)

Research & Development

·        Provide R&D and consulting support to the Cyber iSeries team, IT and business projects as needed

Organizational Planning and Management

·        Contribute to projects with the IT and property teams and for projects internal to Cyber iSeries

·        Assist with general administrative activities in collaboration with all team members

·        Support vendors' activities and relationships

·        Assist in the preparation of project plans and associated documentation

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Required skills:

·        OS  V7R1 or higher

·        10+ years of iSeries operating system experience

·        5 years application installation, maintenance, and support experience on the iSeries platform

·        2+ years primary support for the NetIQ Penatasafe application or a similar security application

·        iSeries security vulnerabilities and remediation
