- Responsible to drive team planning, partnering with the right resources to get the work done and helping their teams continually make forward progress to meet their commitments.
- Maintains their Scrum team’s capacity plan, scrum board, sprint backlog, velocity charts, and burn down charts. On Agile projects, ensures that metrics from multiple teams roll up to accurately depict the overall health of the project.
- Protects the teams from distraction. Captures and removes impediments that the teams encounter.
- Planning:
- Understands the Product backlog scope and benefits across all teams in an Agile project.
- Works with the Product owner to ensure the overall backlog is groomed and readied as needed, as well as their own team’s backlog.
- Partners with the Product Owner to confirm that backlog items are understood by the team and planned accordingly with respect to prioritization and team velocity. Facilitate resource planning and alerts leadership to changes that may impact cost and ROI.
- Drive cross capability coordination and scheduling with other Scrum Teams in Agile projects.
