Role                 : Sr. Front End Developer

Location          : San Francisco, CA

Hire type         : 6+ months contract

 

 

Job Description:

• Web Development

• Turn wireframes and product specifications into fully functional and attractive web layouts using React and SCSS

• Work collaboratively with UI/UX and product manager to solve layout and user experience issues

• Software Engineering

• Work within established procedures and tools to develop, test, code review, implement, and maintain application software while focusing on best practice software design throughout the code life-cycle

• Provide leadership to more junior associates

• Mentor more junior developers

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• 4-year college degree (computer science or related discipline); or equivalent experience

• 7+ years of front-end web development experience, primarily JavaScript (ReactJS preferred), HTML, CSS

• 5+ years’ experience with Agile (in some variant)

• 5+ years’ experience with real-time, high volume transaction systems preferred

• Experience in web development technologies such as JavaScript, React, GatsbyJS, SCSS, Webpack, Babel, Node.js, Jest

• Backend experience with MySQL and PHP is a plus

• Experience with real-time processing, relational database systems preferred

• Full knowledge of common software design patterns (Gang of Four)

• Experience working with highly concurrent systems preferred
