Python Engineer to join their team! Strong Python development, SQL, and would be a huge benefit to have DevOps and integration experience. Likes to see Elastic Search, MongoDB, and Flask experience.
Technologies/Skills- Python, SQL, MongoDB, OOP, Elastic
Required - Top 3:

1. Python
2. SQL
3. MongoDB / Elastic Search / Flask experience all pluses

Specific Outcome This Position Will Produce:
The team this person sits on works on their subscription applications – think media steaming, "Techbooks”, etc. They have a few junior Python developers and need this person to be a senior resource.
Years' Experience/Degree Requirements/Certification:.5+ years of experience is the sweet spot

Responsibilities include:
What You'll Do: This is a hands-on role where you'll write code daily and contribute to production releases multiple times a month.

• Deliver clean and performant code to support Discovery Education's web applications
• Implement new product features, as well as enhance and maintain existing functionality by monitoring solutions and performance characteristics
• Ensure the scalability and quality of all code
• Continually improve our development process, documentation and standards
• Participate in team code reviews to ensure code quality standards
• Participate in build system maintenance
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teammates on design and architecture of web applications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of production backend development experience
• Extensive experience with Python in a large production environment
• Experience with Flask
• Experience with SQL, MongoDB and Memcached
• Expert understanding of object-oriented design and programming
• Excellent problem solving, design, development, and debugging skills
