REQUIREMENT EXPLANATION

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required

2. Master’s Degree (e.g., public health, mathematics, statistics, experimental psychology, epidemiology, health economics, psychographics, business, information systems) or PhD in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Health Economics or in a quantitative field is preferred 

3. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis, BI development and/or analytic programming required

4. Healthcare experience is preferred

5. Proven analytic skills in solving multi-dimensional problems and experience in creating reports, projections, models, dashboards and presentations to senior leadership and business partners

6. Proficient in contemporary analytical/data visualization tools that includes, SQL, SAS and programming in a 4th generation language, (Web Application programming technologies (JAVA, JSP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, VB Script and .net)

7. Experience with SQL, STATA, R, Python is preferred, MS office (Excel, Access, etc.) Tableau, PowerBI

8. Graphic development/presentation skills

9. Applied statistical skills

10. Critical listening, thinking skills, verbal and written communication skills

11. Experience querying databases and using statistical languages: R, Python, SQL, and datamining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.

12. Decision making/problem solving skills

13. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical testis and experience with applications  

14. Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and real-world advantages/drawbacks

15. Possesses an understanding of department, market, and enterprise strategies and operational objectives, including their linkages to related areas

16. Ability to work independently and within a team environment

17. Knowledge of provider analytics, managed care preferred

18. Ability to lead analytic projects

19. Possess exceptional leadership, communication and relationship building skills

20. Health care Industry knowledge with statistical modeling
