Lead .NET Developer
Location: Philadelphia
Duration: 6+ months contract

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for delivering in a timely fashion, challenged to balance tactical and strategic considerations accounting for people, process and technological requirements, as well as identifying platform opportunities and constraints to provide Client solutions to application needs. You will provide mentorship to the development engineering team in object-oriented design and best practices. Ensuring the team's technological relevance and direction is a key responsibility, requiring a candidate who displays a proactive and enthusiastic ethic for monitoring emerging trends and design practices.

Major Duties / Core Responsibilities
¿ Collaborate with architects, developers and business partners to develop enterprise applications, including development of User Interface (UI) components, web services, content management (CMS) and database interactions using Microsoft IDEs in a SOA-based distributed environment.
¿ Provide leadership on best practices around Source Control, Application Design Patterns, Unit Testing, Automated Integration Testing, and Performance testing & tuning
¿ Develop REST APIs
¿ Collaborate with UI Engineers on the development of UI components using a variety of modern front end technologies, such as React.js, Angular, Microsoft .NET
¿ Perform business analysis / requirements analysis with the help of end-users
¿ Develop prototypes and architectures for new concepts and technologies.
¿ Create conceptual data models for database interaction.
¿ Support implementations and provide triage support for higher and lower-level environments and other duties as assigned.
¿ Participate in a 'DevOps' culture that may, at times, include management of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure set-up, automation set-up and performance and security testing.
 

Additional Preferred Skills:
¿ Skills and Experience
o 7+ yrs experience in Software Development
o 5+ yrs experience using Microsoft Technologies including .NET 4.5 or higher, Javascript, stylesheets, AJAX, Classic ASP, etc.
o 5+ yrs experience developing sophisticated web-based user interfaces.
o 5+ yrs experience developing SOA based Applications
o 2+ yrs experience in Business Analysis and Requirement Analysis, as well as demonstrated ability to solve end customers problems.
o 1+ yrs experience working with Docker
o Experience building systems within AWS is a plus; Azure will also do
o .NET Core experience is a plus
o Previous Experience developing in Event drive architectures.
o Candidate should have a familiarity with CMS technologies such as Sitecore (preferred), Ectron, Umbraco, etc.
o Previous Experience Developing Responsive and Mobile sites.
o Previous Experience with Real-Time web based communications (e.g. web sockets)
o Previous experience with Octopus Deploy and/or TeamCity a plus
o Full life-cycle development in an enterprise development environment.
o Experience in a DevOps culture.
o Development using relational database preferably using Oracle or SQL Server.
o Experience with Voice, Data, Video, Wireless technology a plus.
