Essential Job Functions/Duties

•         Performs analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation phases for new development projects, application software changes, and version upgrades

•         Provides production system support services including investigation of processing errors and system problems

•         Ensure adherence to department standards, methods and policies

•         Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form

•         Maintains programming skills and current knowledge of application development technology as related to specific technical project assignments

 

Qualifications

Education:                      BS/BA and/or 4 year technical degree preferably in computer programming or related computer field or equivalent experience is required

Experience:        •             Minimum 8 years of systems programming experience

 

Functional/Technical Knowledge

Indicate discipline or industry specific technical knowledge required for the position

 

•         An understanding of Systems Integration concepts and experience utilizing them

•         Motivated self-starter with creative thinking and problem-solving skills

•         An advanced understanding of computer concepts

•         Proficiency in relationship database concepts and query applications coding

•         High Proficiency with MS SQL (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SSMS)

•         Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle

•         Excellent verbal and written communication

•         Ability to work equally independently and/or as part of a team, managing multiple tasks, following direction for often changing priorities in a fast paced environment

 

Other requirements

 

•         Occasional overnight travel as needed.  Overtime as needed.

•         Able to work effectively in a sedentary work environment

•         Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other works accurately, loudly or quickly.

•         Ability to type/ keyboard well

•         Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels without correction.  Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.

•         The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform and activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and or operation of machines (including inspection);  using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Customer Journey Mapping:

•         Develop journey maps (prioritize top 3-5 journeys, identify gaps, and propose resolutions)

•         Build Competitor Strategy

•         Market roadmaps, heat maps, and trend analyses

•         Canned reports driven by the in house DMP (Data Management Platform) or more commonly called "Super Awesome System"

•         Field Engagement Reporting and ROI management

•         Data automation and systems integration for ease of use and improved user/customer experience

•         Customer/Vertical data modeling to impact growth
