Title    : Embedded Firmware Engineer/Developer Location : Dallas/Plano OPT is also fine. Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to lead and support new features of an existing prototype. Relevant Experience:  Requires design skills in embedded systems and microcontroller development using Java.  Requires experience with device driver development.  Experience designing microbus communication protocols.  Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN bus) development preferred (used in automotive embedded programming)  Experience with TCP/IP Networking,and Database design desirable  Works closely with other senior engineers and shares responsibility for the design and adherence to specification, cost, budget, and schedule goals. Team focused.  Is responsible for several project leadership activities and project documentation  Is responsible to diagnose issues of complex scope with design, field performance, fault tolerance and reliability in mind Additional Skills:  Ability to solve technical problems independently with enthusiasm and creativity  Ability to exercise judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results  Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to work under pressure and time constraints  Self-starting, inquisitive, flexible, multi-tasking  Maintains high standards of quality and productivity, even under pressure.
