Position Title: RPA Business Analyst
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: Long Term Contract  

RPA Business Analyst will gather and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans and results, and other deliverables required to implement RPA solutions. Works closely with technology infrastructure, business software applications, and business operational partners to create scalable and efficient process automations.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

• Work with process owners to identify and assess appropriate automation use cases
• Lead RPA workshops to understand end to end process while identifying automation risks, assumptions, and dependencies associated with process automation
• Develop scalable and efficient process automations and reusable components that can be leveraged across different lines of businesses
• Use of industry leading RPA tools implementing full life cycle RPA solutions – use case selection, requirements gathering, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support
• Participate in the RPA Center of Excellence to develop, promote, and utilize best practices for RPA capabilities
• Serve as subject matter expert to others seeking to utilize RPA technologies for automating and streamlining existing manual business processes
• Translate business requirements, current and future state process designs to create automation ready process flows
• Support end-to-end execution of multiple RPA projects, varying in size and complexity
• Work closely with business operational partners as part of the global federated process automation COE ensuring alignment to timelines
• Collaborate with multi-functional and virtual teams across IT, business operational functions, and vendors
• Adhere to the appropriate governance standards, policies, and best practices
• Create and document test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
• Provide support to end users during UAT and debugging root causes of any issues
• Review assessment of current RPA opportunities using RPA assessment tools

Qualifications

Knowledge

• Understanding IT delivery methodologies (ITIL, Agile, Lean, etc)
• Knowledge of business processes in various industries: finance, telecommunication, insurance, etc
• Exposure in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, customer digital experience, AI and machine learning will be beneficial
• Demonstrates an aptitude for learning and applying new and/or updated programming languages, techniques, and/or software development disciplines

Skills

• Demonstrates advanced programming/configuration/analytical skills to achieve business and or technical requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to work independently within a team environment
• Able to work independently to resolve discrepancies, defects, incidents or problems with understanding of the business and system impacts
• Skilled in automating business processes using RPA technologies
• Adept in RPA processes, including requirements gathering, solution designing, documentation and implementation using tools such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and UI path, etc

Additional Knowledge and Skills

• Programming experience with a major programming language
• Must have experience in RPA / automation assessment work to drive key automation outcomes
• Project management experience a plus
• Experience working on implementing automation solutions projects is an advantage
• Experience conducting assessment of Business benefits covering Cost savings, Cost-benefit analysis
• Exposure to Process Automation tools such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, etc
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RPA solutions using an industry leading automation tool is a big plus

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role required
• 2-3 years of experience in RPA implementations with significant contribution role required
