Data Architect
Job Description :
The Data Architect II is responsible for data modeling and data architecture, including ODS, Data Warehouse, Data Integration Hub, OLTP/OLAP, or equivalent. Must be proficient in relational DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server), ER Studio, CA Erwin or similar entity relationship tool and competent in SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures, and understanding of ETL processes.
Skills:
· Thorough understanding of data modeling and architecture
· Ability to produce technical documentation and diagrams
· Demonstrated knowledge of hub and spoke and star schema design patterns
· Ability to take direction Experience: 4+ years experience in Software Development or related fields; 3+ years experience in data modeling and database architecture Hands-on experience developing logical and physical data models Strong experience monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity Experience with data quality issues and remediation, data flows and mapping. Experience modeling for structured and unstructured data. Team player who puts teams success over personal opinion and views Experience working on agile teams Flexible and adaptive to OneAmerica standards and process. Understands and capable of leading peers through influence.

As a UDB DBA, you will function as an infrastructure engineer for the DB2 LUW database technology, in addition to other database technologies. This involves designing system solutions, implementing new features, resolving complex incidents and problems, responding to infrastructure monitoring and alerts, and consultation with application support and development staff. You will also have the opportunity to learn and work with other BI and database technologies as architectural and engineering design needs arise. Applying established best practices, you will take charge of build decisions, infrastructure design for larger, more complex systems to achieve strategic objectives in the areas of service management, risk management and project delivery. As a strategic thinker, you will move between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in those around you
