Job Title: Consultant | Oracle Fusion Technology | Oracle SOA Suite Hillsboro, Oregon Contract Duration: 6 Months
Position: SOA Architect – Product Engine Solutions (PES)

Scope and Responsibilities:
As the PES SOA Architect, your role on the team will be to influence, drive and deliver technical integration architecture design aligned with our organizational SOA strategy. The SOA Architect will collaborate with the Enterprise and Product Engine Solutions Architecture team, project teams, integration analysts, and developers to provide a robust platform, policies, and patterns to transform PES to Service Orientation.

Experience Required:
As a member of the Product Engine Solutions – Product Connect capability team, this role will participate in the architecture, design and development of product data integration solutions for the client

The role includes the development of partnerships and connections with IT development team members to clarify specifications and ensure that service solutions align with long-term transformation strategies between PES.
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of integration design principles and SOA application frameworks; build SOA platform and services from inception.
• Drive solution options and recommendations for foundational Service Orientation platform capabilities.
• Create and maintain integration roadmaps that will guide both technical and business teams through strategic planning and solution designs to ensure we arrive at the desired end state.
• Evangelize benefits of proper Service Orientation to all levels of the organization. Influence project teams inside/outside of Product Engine Solutions around the vision and its benefits.
• Work to ensure that strategic integration principles and concepts are appropriately applied when producing technical designs and software development deliverables.
• Apply and develop highly advanced technical concepts; serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SOA integration topics.
• Provide appropriate service strategies for application development staff to develop and test integration architecture.
• Provide Level-Of-Effort for service related work.
• Create and maintain technical standards and guidelines for Service Orientation.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to the engineering team involved in development activities for Service Orientation across a variety of systems.
• Define, implement, and enforce the application of SOA engineering processes across multiple projects with services defined for maximum reuse to ensure Service Orientation principles are aligned.
• Understand application infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards, and trends and use that knowledge to make decisions and offer suggestions.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design • Work with engineering teams to guide day-to-day development activities by leading architecture decisions and participating in design discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
• Maintain industry/technical knowledge and facilitate industry relationships.
• Ability to Define, Document, Communicate Integration Patterns, and recommend on when and where to use with pros and cons.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Additional 5 years' experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 5 or more years of experience with middleware technologies & Integration Platforms (ROA/SOA/EAI/ESB/BPM) with a primary focus on design, architecture & development for large scale & complex enterprise grade solutions.
• 4 or more years of demonstrated experience with providing architecture, design and maintenance support for enterprise-scale SOA and other integration implementations.
• Must have a working knowledge ROA/SOA/EAI/ESB/BPM concepts, Event Driven Architecture, J2EE design patterns, frameworks and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong experience with Messaging (JMS, MQ, AQ, etc.) and Message Oriented Middleware • Proficiency with JSON/XML/XSL/XSLT/XSD, JAXDB, SOAP, WSDL, AXIS2, HTTP, REST, and API development • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and solutions by planning, developing, and refining to-be architecture.
• Experience with designing and building RESTful services.
• Experience with designing ESB mediations.
• Experience working with service registries and repositories.
• Experience working with BPEL and rules engines.
• Experience with Java and J2EE multi-tiered/layered application architecture.
• Experience collaborating with internal or external team members throughout the organization.
• Experience with the indirect management of team members, including mentoring, development, training, and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
• Proven ability to communicate Service Orientation concepts to a wide variety of non-technical team members, and influence and affect change from the status quo to align with integration strategy.
• Experience interfacing with and presenting to business leaders.

Would be nice to have:
• Knowledge of W3C Web Services Specification Stack layers.
