Job Description:

This Administrator position will interface with client stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Infrastructure support. You will be required to perform administration, installations, migration and implement operational best practices in your day to day work along with day to day administration activities like user creation, folder creation, configuring DB connections etc
Strong experience in Administration and support of PowerCenter, Web services, Data Quality and PowerExchange on Linux environment.

• Overall 10+ years of experience. 

• 6 years hands on experience with Informatica Power Center Administration
• 2 years of , OBIEE, BI Apps Administration
• Experience in Architecture Assessment, Capacity Planning, System Architecture Design for High Availability and Load Balancing / Grid Configuration.
• Metadata Manager.
• Power Exchange - Change Data Capture, Connectors, Cloud, and Proactive Monitoring.
• Monitoring the environment and users privileges administration
• Design, document, and implement administration procedures, security model, backup, and failover / recovery operations for platform.
• System Administration (includes server maintenance / Upgrades/ patches).
• Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
• Monitor server activity / usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.
• Experience working with Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Understand and study new features released by , educate the ETL team by sharing the knowledge.
• Good Linux scripting experiences and DB knowledge.
• Provide incident and problem management support for business groups and operations
• Manage code synchronization across all development, QA and production environments
• DATA WAREHOUSING TOOLS - Power Center 10.x
• Develop and document standards/best practices for Admin.
• Knowledge of service support and continuous service improvement.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Work in collaboration with the Change and Release Manager to ensure changes approved as a part of release are scheduled and deployed in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Provide on-call support.
• DBMS - Oracle 12c,
• MS SQL Server2017
• Nice to Have: OBIEE Analyst and DAC is an added advantage

Primary Responsibilities

With limited guidance performs defect correction (analysis, design, code) on less complex issues and/or codes applications of medium complexity. With guidance begins to install, customize and integrate commercial software packages. Works with more tenured peers to gain understanding of systems while conducting root cause analysis of issues, reviewing new and existing code and/or performing unit testing.
Works with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing. Learns to create system documentation/play books and attends requirements, design and code reviews. Receives work packages from manager and/or delegates.
Understands and assists in gathering and analyzing customer requirements and may respond to outages following the appropriate processes.
Partners with experienced team members to develop accurate estimates on work packages. May begin to identify issues that impact availability.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree
5 or more years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within Business Intelligence, ETL, and/or Data Engineering

Preferred
5+ years’ experience developing, deploying and supporting high-quality, fault-tolerant data pipelines (leveraging distributed, data movement technologies and approaches, including but not limited to ETL and streaming ingestion and processing)
4+ years’ experience with Hadoop Ecosystem
4+ years’ experience in a software engineer role, leveraging Java, Python or Scala and Microservice SOA design patterns
5+ years’ advanced distributed schema and SQL development skills including partitioning for performance of ingestion and consumption patterns
4+ years’ experience with distributed NoSQL databases and event brokers (Apache Cassandra, Kafka, Graph databases, Document Store databases)
4+ years’ experience with cloud-based data offerings (Amazon AWS, Google GCP, Microsoft Azure)
4+ years’ experience with ETL Tools (Informatica, DataStage)
Exposure to predictive analytics
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
