Job description
· Hands-on experience with Extreme Networks products and fabrics for site redesign, modernization, and hardware refresh projects.
· Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient network architectures leveraging ExtremeSwitching, ExtremeRouting, and ExtremeWireless solutions.
· Integrate security solutions such as NAC (Network Access Control) and Extreme A3 for enhanced network protection.
· Develop comprehensive network solutions incorporating Fabric Connect for simplified management and VXLAN for efficient virtualization.
· Lead deployment of Extreme Networks hardware (7X, 5X, and 2X series switches) with configuration of advanced features including stacking, VLANs, and dynamic routing protocols.
· Implement and optimize ExtremeWireless solutions (access points, controllers, and cloud-driven management) for seamless wireless connectivity.
· Utilize ExtremeAnalytics to monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, promptly addressing any bottlenecks or issues.
· Implement advanced features like Application Analytics and Control to enhance visibility and ensure optimal performance for critical applications.
· Execute network implementations across Plant, Manufacturing, and Office environments (Project Office setups included).
· Enforce security measures using ExtremeControl for access control, NAC, and role-based policies.
· Apply ExtremeSecurity features such as threat intelligence integration and behavioral analysis to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
· Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution using tools like ExtremeManagement.
· Collaborate with Extreme Networks technical support to efficiently diagnose and resolve escalated issues.
· Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures using ExtremeControl Center.
· Generate and analyze network performance, security, and capacity reports via ExtremeAnalytics and related reporting tools.
· Work closely with Network Operations, Cloud, On-Prem Infrastructure, and Security teams for seamless solution integration.
· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network engineers.
