Job Title: Jira Developer (On-Prem to Cloud Migration Specialist)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Jira Developer with strong experience in Jira migrations and deep technical expertise in the Atlassian ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have proven experience migrating Jira from on-premises (Server/Data Center) to cloud environments, strong command over JQL, and hands-on experience with JCMA and Atlassian plug-ins.

 

Key Responsibilities.

• Lead and execute Jira Server to Cloud migrations
• Plan, configure, and manage migrations using JCMA (Jira Cloud Migration Assistant)
• Develop, customize, and maintain Jira workflows, schemes, screens, permissions, and configurations
• Write and optimize advanced JQL (Jira Query Language) queries
• Analyze, install, configure, and migrate Marketplace plug-ins
• Develop custom Jira extensions using the Atlassian SDK
• Perform data validation, integrity checks, and post-migration testing
• Troubleshoot migration issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement Jira solutions
• Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Jira (Server/Data Center and Cloud)
• Proven experience with on-prem to cloud Jira migrations
• Expertise in JQL
• Experience using JCMA (Jira Cloud Migration Assistant)
• Strong understanding of Jira plug-ins and Marketplace app migrations
• Experience with Atlassian SDK and custom plugin development
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integrations
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
