Job Title: Golang – (KubeVirt / OpenShift / Virtualization -Must have)

Location: San Jose, CA - Onsite

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a Golang Developer with strong experience in KubeVirt-based solutions and a solid background in OpenShift and virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will be involved in developing new features based on real-world use cases, working closely with container and VM orchestration platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance KubeVirt-based virtualization solutions using Golang
• Build and implement new features on OpenShift platforms based on business and infrastructure use cases
• Work on containerized and VM-based workloads, enabling seamless VM lifecycle management within Kubernetes
• Integrate and manage virtualization solutions with VMware environments
• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable and secure solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance in Linux-based environments
• Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical documentation

 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Golang (Go) development
• Proven experience working with KubeVirt for VM orchestration on Kubernetes
• Solid background in Red Hat OpenShift
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts (VM lifecycle, hypervisors, VM networking, storage)
• Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere / ESXi or similar)
• Strong Linux systems background (kernel concepts, networking, storage, troubleshooting)
• Experience developing and deploying applications in containerized environments

 

Nice to Have / Preferred:

• Experience or working knowledge of Kairos OS (open-source immutable Linux for edge computing)
• Exposure to edge computing platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes operators/controllers
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure or hybrid cloud environments

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong backend engineer with deep Linux + virtualization fundamentals
• Comfortable working at the intersection of containers, VMs, and Kubernetes
• Experience building platform-level or infrastructure-focused solutions rather than just application code
