Job Title::  Cisco Wireless Network Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA

Rate: $ 50/hr on C2C

 

JD:

Competencies: IT IS_CNS_Data Network Cisco - 6-8+ years experience

 

Role Description:

Experienced in CISCO CAT9 - 9800 WLC Administration hands-on with 6 to 8 years' experience

- This profile requires experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco's Wireless Controller systems in addition to troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality wireless services.

1. Perform administration of Cisco Wireless Controller CAT9 - 9800 WLC series

2. Establish and optimize wireless networks and develop wireless network infrastructure and make recommendations on system enhancements for optimization.

3. Design validates radio frequency link performance, quality, and reliability.

4. Develop software for wireless technology and provide technical assessment of requirements.

5. Include propagation theory, cellular theory, radio frequency engineering tools, and antenna theory to choose tower antenna placement.

6. Recommend site upgrades such as down tilling of antenna and reorientation of radio addition

7. Monitor Wireless system applications to ensure peak performance

8. Assist in quarterly system Health check deviations remediations

9. Provide regular status on tasks accomplished, current issues progress toward goals

10. Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to standard operating procedures

11. Collaborate with other team members across IT and the business Vendor coordination for wireless implementation and troubleshooting
