Position: Automation Test Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday to Thursday)

Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract

Rate: $70/hr on C2C Max.

 

 

Role Overview:

• We are looking for a visionary Test Architect with deep expertise in automation testing and quality engineering strategy. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional who can architect scalable, maintainable, and intelligent test automation solutions across UI, API, and backend systems. The Test Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the QA roadmap, driving innovation through AI/ML-based testing, and mentoring QA teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-grade automation frameworks from scratch across UI, API, and backend layers.
• Define and drive the overall test automation strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Product, and Development to ensure seamless CI/CD integration.
• Lead technical reviews, proof-of-concepts, and tool evaluations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation design, coding standards, and test strategy.
• Establish quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to track and improve test effectiveness.
• Ensure alignment of test architecture with business goals and technology roadmap.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Expertise in Selenium, Core Java, TestNG, Rest Assured for API and UI automation.
• Proven experience in architecting and implementing 2–3 automation frameworks independently.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern tools like Playwright, Cypress, SCafe.
• Strong understanding of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave) and build tools like Maven.
• Solid knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and project tracking tools like Jira.
• Deep understanding of the test lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in retail or loyalty domain is a strong plus.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
