Position: Jira Developer

Location: Pittsburgh PA, / Lake Mary, NY/NJ - (onsite – Hybrid - 2-3 days office)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Overview:

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Jira Developer, Atlassian Specialist, or in a similar role.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Scripting: Expert-level proficiency in scripting for Jira with Groovy (via ScriptRunner) and strong knowledge of Jira Query Language (JQL).

APIs: Extensive experience with the Jira REST API for custom integrations and reporting.

Programming: Strong experience with programming languages like Java or Python for developing plugins and other custom extensions.

Atlassian Products: In-depth knowledge of the Atlassian suite, including Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.

Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Certifications: Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications, such as "Jira Administration for Cloud" or "Jira Administration for Data Center," are strongly preferred.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a highly regulated industry such as finance or healthcare.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Artifactory).
• Experience with other IT service management (ITSM) platforms like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
