AWS Cloud Ops // Remote Position

Position: Cloud Ops SME

Location: Rockville, MD - REMOTE

Duration: 6-12+ months Contract

 

LinkedIn and Passport Number are mandatory for submission.

 

LinkedIn profile must have been created before 2020.

 

Need 12+ years' experience

 

Job Description:

This is going to be 100% AWS Cloud Platform Management & Operations Role with little or zero Dev Ops responsibilities.

1.                   Relocation to Rockville, MD would be preferred but not mandatory.

2.                   They would need to work on regular operational tasks  ( & dirty work as the client calls in his interview) which forms majority of their day-today work

a.                   Working on Service-Now tickets (OS level & Cloud level troubleshooting/Remediating vulnerabilities) & adhering to SLAs.

b.                   Creating & Implementing change controls, responding to RCA.

c.                   Commission/Decommission of Cloud Resources

d.                   Planned DR activities with different application teams.

e.                   Cleanups and cost-optimization analysis and implementation

f.                    Cloud Migrations and Site externalizations.

g.                   Backups/Patching of instances and resources.

h.                   Good Windows/Linux troubleshooting .

i.                     Automations and PoCs.

j.                     Adhering to all documentation standards, else a lot of re-work has to be done.
