Job title: Power BI Developer Location: Dallas, TX Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Hands-on Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in DAX, Power BI security and workspaces, usage metrics, Power Query, SQL, and data architecture. You will be responsible for creating advanced Power BI reports and dashboards, implementing security measures, and optimizing performance. Strong communication skills and experience with version control and CI/CD processes are essential. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights for business users.
- Implement and manage security measures, workspaces, and data flows in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Develop and optimize complex DAX calculations and measures to support analytical requirements.
- Leverage expert knowledge of Power Query and M language for efficient data integration and transformation.
- Utilize expert SQL skills to query and manipulate data from various sources, including ERP systems like SAP and Oracle.
- Design and implement intricate data models to create high-performing dashboards and paginated reports.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Apply a strong understanding of data architecture to support the development of robust analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Power BI solutions with other systems and applications.
- Maintain version control using tools like TFS or Git and implement CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with DAX and data architecture.
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI security, workspaces, data flows, usage metrics, Power Query, M language, and Azure DevOps.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and experience with ERP systems like SAP and Oracle.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients at all levels.
- Experience with version control systems like TFS or Git.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management principles is a plus.
