Title: Scrum Master
Location: Hybrid, Alpharetta, GA (Only local GA)
Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the Agile/Scrum process for one or more software development teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies.
- Coach and mentor the team on Agile values, principles, and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Guide the team in self-organizing and cross-functional collaboration, encouraging ownership and accountability for the delivery of high-quality software.
- Facilitate the team's planning, refinement, and estimation activities, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized.
- Protect the team from external distractions and remove any impediments or obstacles that may hinder their progress.
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, fostering transparency, open communication, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the product owner to ensure that the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and reflects the team's capacity and capability.
- Monitor and track the team's progress, ensuring that the sprint goals and commitments are met and that the team is delivering value to stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the development team and stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of goals, priorities, and requirements.
- Continuously assess and improve the team's Agile practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement and helping the team adapt to changing circumstances.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience).
- Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, working with software development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, values, and practices, with practical experience in applying Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead meetings and workshops and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment, promoting trust, openness, and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to address issues and remove obstacles to ensure team productivity and success.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and practices for tracking and reporting team progress.
- Knowledge of other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean) and software development methodologies is a plus.
- Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging Agile practices and trends.
