Primary Purpose

 

The web technologist is responsible for implementing web architectures and technologies to enable various business outcomes like web analytics, cross-domain tracking.

The Web Technologist will work with leaders in marketing, IT, Security and compliance organizations to provide guidance across multiple enterprise projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Strategizing and maintaining the website strategy and technologies across a multi-faceted team.

• Act as a subject matter expert across software development, content, CMS, AI, Google Analytics, and domains in order to assist all pillars of the business with technological optimization and longevity.

• Support implementation of compliance for tracking technologies (cookies, pixels , web beacons , tags etc.) for websites and mobile apps

• Work with vendor teams to support implementation of new GA architecture on GA4 at the enterprise level

• Organize, track and surface data trends

• Implement Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, configuring and customizing the tools appropriately

• Identify gaps in existing implementations and recommend solutions to enhance data collection, promote scalability, and drive best practices

• Seek opportunities to clarify what solution is needed (not just what was requested), and develop and propose alternative technical approaches where appropriate

• Act as a mentor to junior team members and share expertise

• Work with developers to specify or write custom tagging and analytics solutions using JavaScript

• Provide guidance for Google Analytics architecture for GA4 implementation to achieve business objectives

 

Successful Candidate

 

• Demonstrated skills in managing and implementing website and associated technologies in a large and complex organization (including content management systems).

• Experience in working with Marketing organizations for implementing user behavior analytics

• Experience in CMS and internal web (SiteCore, Drupal, SharePoint etc).

• Experience in Agile working methodologies

• Demonstrated skills in managing, developing, and implementing web-based technology policies and strategies.

• Sound knowledge in supporting web authoring software, HTML, graphical editing software and delivering efficient solutions tested across the required browsers and devices (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop), while meeting all applicable WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility requirements.

• Experience as a subject matter expert for web and associated technology related issues in previous businesses.

• Experience with tracking technologies compliance to various frameworks like GDPR , CCPA using tools like OneTrust, TagInspector is required

• Strong leader and proactive web SME.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
