Position: Senior Business Analyst with Polarion

Location: Golden Valley, MN – Onsite – Locals Only

Client: ITR Group – Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America

 

Rate: $60/hr on c2c (Max.)

 

No OPT / CPT / H1-T / GC EAD

Project Overview:

We need someone with financial services experience (ideally with LTC, health, disability, or life insurance background) to dig into and understand the business needs and impacted system(s) solution capabilities and collaborate with the team to determine the best path forward to serve our customers.

Deliverables will include stakeholder and impact analysis / problem development, epic and user story development / management, user acceptance test planning and execution, and post install validation planning and execution. Primary documentation source for team deliverables is Polarion, so understanding of traceability within Polarion is critical.

 

Team Culture: Individual will be working with a mostly dedicated team of highly technical IT and business staff to define the best approach for leveraging ID3 and Documaker, to manage our rate increases, enhancements, and incidents to serve our customers. Scrum/Kanban team will be fast paced with Actuary and Operations stakeholders, and will require business analyst who can collaboratively, but independently own and drive their SDLC deliverables.

 

Team Methodology: Agile / Scrum / Kanban

 

Team Makeup: Program Sponsor, Program Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Developer(s), Quality Assurance, Vendor Partner / Staff, Subject Matter Experts, etc.; mostly FTEs

 

Critical Skills and Experience:

• Strong soft skills and can communicate effectively at all levels (e.g., project team to executive sponsors)
• Polarion & Jira experience
• Agile experience in Scrum/Kanban methodologies
• Team collaboration
• Able to influence without authority.
• Elicits facts to drive decisions.
• Self-motivator / driver
• Operates with a high sense of urgency and proactively addresses open questions and risks.
• Customer oriented
• Maintains a solution focus, facilitating "here's how we can” versus "here's why we can't” mindset.
• 7-10 years business analysis experience
• Financial services experience required.
• Experience working with Actuary and/or Operations strongly preferred.
• Experience with large scale, enterprise-wide implementations covering a broad and diverse group of stakeholders / end users.
