Wireless Network Engineer Fort Worth, TX onsite local preferred 6+ months USC/GC Video The experienced candidate will perform a full range of network technician assignments and use considerable independent judgment in making decisions requiring the interpretation / application of guidelines with considerable latitude to specific work situations. Responsibilities: - Managing and documenting wireless networks, overlaying APs onto CAD (or similar) blueprints for heat mapping, and with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, RF design and WLAN fundamentals.
- Designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large-scale wireless networks with proven experience in troubleshooting isolation and remediation.
- Working with wireless optimizations, including AP placement, achieving ideal signal levels, optimized roaming, spectrum selection, channel tuning, cell optimization, QoS, and more.
- Designing controller clustering, failover methods and caveats, group management, AP modes of operation, patching, RF management, similar tasks.
- Troubleshooting client experience tests and wireless packet analyses, managing support cases with external technology vendors, and performing active and passive wireless site surveys.
Qualifications: - Four (4) years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting enterprise route/switch technologies.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Wireless Controllers / APs, and NAC.
CCNA - 2 years’ experience with f5 load balancer; 2 years’ experience with Palo Alto.
