Job Description: Analytics CoE team is looking for a Cloud SAS Developer that will be playing a key customer-facing role in migrating on-prem SAS Grid applications to AWS Cloud. Ideal candidate should have technical experience in migrations and the ability to help customers get value from SAS Grid Cloud Platform.

Required qualifications:

•         5+ years as a SAS developer

•         3+ years of production experience with core AWS services

•         2+ years of DevOps experience

•         Ability to review and understand complex SAS programs written by others

•         Ability to understand SAS logs and AWS logs to determine if the users' issue involves data, platform or access problems or coding or logic errors

•         Experience reading, writing, and debugging complex Oracle, Netezza, and Proc SQL (experience with Redshift a plus)

•         Experience running SAS jobs in a Linux environment (Knowledge of SASGSUB and SAS Grid experience a plus)

•         Experience using the SAS data step to manipulate complex datasets and perform data transformations.

•         Knowledge of the SAS macro language and ability to debug complex macros

•         Deep working knowledge of the SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio

•         Knowledge of the production life cycle and development environments

•         Advanced SAS Data Step and Macro programming skills for working with large data sets

•         Experience using SAS to create complex reports (Financial reporting experience a plus)

•         Knowledge of how SAS configuration files are used

Desired experience:

•         SAS admin experience is a plus

•         SAS 9 Certified Base Programmer (SAS 9 Certified Advanced Programmer a plus)

•         Python development/scripting experience

Call Notes:

• Looking for a Dev 3, Cloud SAS Dev who will partner with thew SAS Application end users to migrate the application / code into SAS Grid infrastructure in an AWS environment.
• Work with users, capture requirements, work to migration apps to cloud, setting up file systems, ensure data is complete, partner with other tech teams.
• Most of the applications need access to DB and other 3rd party components. This candidate will partner with app teams to set up source to target mapping, ensure requirements rae given / completed, connectivity to SAS grid to data sources are intact.
• Need to troubleshoot to get connectivity completed, loo0k at log files. Might need to look at code and advise the application team.
• Sas background to support SAS migration efforts, will not be a pure developer.
• Production experience in AWS
• Might handle some DevOps duties.
• Set up user environment on the SAS grid, previous admin exp is key.
• Python scripting would be useful, have scripts that are developed in house to connect to different data source / move files.
• 30-40% development / rest will focus on application migration
• SAS Grid- is a must, Grid infrastructure they have deployed.
• Remote- 2 days w week
