Job Description
Who are we looking for?
A candidate with 12+ years’ experience in Oracle Database Administration, , Multitenancy, Goldengate and RAT.
Technical Skills:
· Strong experience administering various multi-Terabyte, 24x7 uptime Oracle databases as a Systems/Infrastructure Database Administrator required
· Solid experience working with Oracle versions 11gR1/2, 12c, 19C in a Linux environment.
· Strong experience in migrating multiterabyte databases.
· Strong experience in characterset migrations.
· Strong experience in Performance tuning.
· Experience with Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance is a plus
· Strong, proven Oracle Database Performance Diagnostic skills (at both the SQL and system levels)
· Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), CDB/PDB, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Golden Gate replication.
· Experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) on ZDLRA.
· Proficiency in installing and configuring complex database management system environments, creating and maintaining databases as well as backup and recovery
Process Skills:
· Demonstrated ability to implement automated process to improve database system reliability
· Skill at troubleshooting complex problems
· Background in IT infrastructure, including systems, storage or network administration,
· Proficient development skills in a dynamic programming language such as Python, Javascript, .NET, Perl, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting. Also experience with Microservices is desirable. Experience of Ansiable, Chef and Puppet are desirable.
· Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile development methodology
· Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Behavioral Skills :
· Dynamic team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
· Understand the client requirements, analyze and translate them into a feasible solution
· Demonstrate and articulate performance enhancement solutions to the clients and prospects
· Execute the Proof of Concept from initial installation through to client acceptance
· Ability to work in APAC, EMEA and NA hours.
Qualification:
· Somebody who has at least 12+ years of work experience as Oracle DBA
· Education qualification: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college
