Job Description:
As the Linux and Middleware engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting the Linux and Middleware systems issues as part of patching.Responsibilities:• Execute system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities for Linux and Middleware systems.• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure Linux and Middleware systems are properly integrated with other systems and services.• Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for Linux and Middleware systems, including server hardware, operating systems, and applications.• Develop and implement security policies and procedures for Linux and Middleware systems to ensure they are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.• Develop and maintain rollback plans, disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Linux and Middleware systems.• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Linux and Middleware systems, and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve the overall environment.• Provide guidance and training to other IT staff on Linux and Middleware systems and best practices.Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.• 7+ years of experience in Linux and Middleware systems administration and engineering.• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Middleware architectures, technologies, and best practices.• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux and Middleware systems, including Red Hat Linux, Apache, Tomcat, and other open-source technologies.• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Relevant industry certifications such as RHCE, CCNA, GIAC, etc. are desirable.
