Job Description:

Role :- Office 365 Architect

Location :- Paoli, PA – Onsite 1st week rest can be full Remote

Duration :- Contract

 

Responsibilities

  • The Office 365 and AD Architect position is responsible for scoping, assessment, planning, design, testing, migrating, and technical documentation for the implementation, and migration projects of enterprise messaging and collaboration solutions primarily focusing on Office 365 and all of its related core technologies including Active Directory, Cloud Identities, On-premises and online Exchange, Security, Azure, ADFS, AAD Connect, SharePoint, MS Teams, One Drive and EMS
  • Understand and assess existing client messaging environments
  • Design, plan and perform migrations to multi-geo Office 365 tenants
  • Document existing and future state architecture with functional requirements and specifications
  • Assist in developing test and implementation plans
  • Support multiple Office 365 tenants
  • Designing, designing, and implementing multi-tenant systems and solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • To maintain Exchange Hybrid Co-Existence in a multi-Active Directory Forest/Exchange Org Topology
  • To maintain Data Sovereignty compliance when Multi-Geo must be used
  • Architectural understanding of how Third Party Archive & Journaling Email Data (Enterprise Vault, Mimecast) on legal hold is migrated appropriately (to maintain Data Immutability)
  • Architectural Proficiency in integrating Microsoft and non-Microsoft Mobile Devices/Mobile Application Management & Unified Endpoint Management solutions with Exchange/Office 365 (Intune, etc.) as well as other third-party email-aware apps (Unified Communications/Messaging, Fax, Printer/Scanners)
  • Must have Architectural Proficiency (Design, Build, Migrate) with Office 365 Email Protection Mechanisms like Legal/Litigation Holds, Retention, Deletion and Data Immutability, DLP, ATP, etc.
  • Collaborate with the management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet the business requirements of our customers.
  • Perform technical analysis as well as cost analysis for planning, designing, installation, and ongoing administration and management of customers messaging and systems infrastructures
  • Lead the design, deployment and migration of large-scale and complex projects including IT infrastructure initiatives that have significant enterprise-wide impact
  • Highest level of escalation for support and troubleshooting in resolving problems with IT messaging and systems infrastructures
  • You will be working with customers to understand their business and technical requirements to design messaging and collaboration and O365 solutions to improve our customer’s employee experience
  • You will be the O365 Subject Matter Expert within the business and to the end customers, responsible for delivering enterprise-sized O365 solutions.
  • Resolution ownership of technical challenges for O365 projects and the technical escalation point for the implementation teams.
  • Good working knowledge of the entire Office 365 stack – MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc. including their interactions and use cases.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Services and Security & Compliance.
  • Define, share, and advocates the best practice
  • Promotes sharing of expertise through consulting, presentations, documentation, etc.
  • Standard Operating Procedure, knowledge articles and conducting training for IT teams and end-users in different modes.
  • Creating a support handover strategy
  • Creation of the documents & collaterals supporting the migration and its pre and post-migration activities e.g. HLD, LLD, RAID, Project Plan, Schedule & Timeline, Communication Plan, etc.

 

Required Skills

  • Thoroughly understands decision process issues of technology choice, such as capacities, response time, data interfacing, client-server communication, etc.
  • 9-12 Years’ experience in messaging & collaboration cloud transformation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Exchange server, Office 365 components and its security e.g. exchange online, MS Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, SharePoint, ADFS, etc.
  • Architectural proficiency with O365 Hybrid Designs & how they must be designed in the following scenarios:
  • Knows the in & out of Office 365 migration right from data gathering using tools and other methods, strategizing the migration, planning & execution, carrying out a pilot in an effective way and doing the main migration. 
  • Hands-on experience on Exchange to Office 365 migrations.
  • Hands-on experience on migration issues and mitigations.
  • Hand-on experience with Exchange Hybrid setup and mail flow.
  • In-depth knowledge of Directory services components (Active Directory, Azure AD, AAD connect, Domain & DNS management)
  • Hands-on experience in Office 365 & AD and its underlying components. Must be aware of the licensing of all these products.
  • Expert skills in supporting mail flow, message trace, SMTP mail relays, connectors and mail routing rules. 
  • Expert skills in creating PowerShell scripts for use in managing Exchange and O365 environments.
  • Ancillary products Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint & Azure AD.
  • In-depth knowledge of email security & compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IronPort email security services.
  • Good knowledge of E-Vault email archiving solutions.

  • The US Visa and exposure to work with multinational customers
  • Flexible and open to adapting to technology changes
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work closely with end-users, partners, other engineers, administrators and other senior stakeholders.
  • Applies strong financial and consultative selling techniques to advance opportunities
  • Candidate should have proven experience of 9+ years plus in Messaging & Collaboration transformation, or architecture roles.
